For me there are only 2 choices. a)Make the 5pt or b)the pedestrian move of covering everything with 11/8 9/6 7/4. Now I had to use a board to see how the end result of each looks like. I had no board with me so I did it on GNU. Unfortunately I saw the solution too. So I won't participate.
For those who will, i suggest you use a board before you decide.

The obvious play is to enter and then make the seven and eight points.
Alternatively, one could make the five point. That leaves a double
direct shot plus an indirect (4 6 8), while making the seven and eight
leaves a double direct( 1 6).

the adage is "when in doubt make the five point", but I'll make the more
solid blockade and leave (hopefully, I haven't actually counted) fewer
shots.
